Managing a complex project requires understanding the mission, vision, goals and objectives of the project, planning the work, scheduling and producing, including controls and evaluation of the project goals, adapting to changing conditions, managing the team and closing the project.  The fundamentals of project management remain, but nuances to applying these steps continually change. As you learn from the past, prepare for the future.
